Reins taken,
eyes forward.
Welcome to Cowboy Country
Oklahoma State's next era begins with the introduction of Eric Morris as the new Cowboy Football head coach.
Morris comes to Stillwater after guiding North Texas to unprecedented heights. With games still to be played in 2025, Morris has led UNT to the first 10-win season in program history and has the Mean Green in contention for its first appearance in the College Football Playoff.
Morris is regarded as one of the best offensive minds in college football. In 2025, UNT leads the nation in scoring offense and total offense and also ranks in the top five nationally in passing offense (second), pass efficiency (third), first downs (third), turnover margin (second), fewest interceptions thrown (fifth) and more.
Morris was twice named Southland Conference Coach of the Year during his time at Incarnate Word, where he led the Cardinals to conference titles in 2018 and 2021 and twice reached the FCS playoffs. He left as the program’s coaching record-holder with 24 victories. Prior to Incarnate Word, Morris spent five seasons (2013-17) as the offensive coordinator at his alma mater, Texas Tech. During that time, Morris helped the Red Raiders to three bowl games and guided one of the top offenses in the nation.
A solid foundation,
a bold new ride.

INVEST IN SUCCESS
Donate to the POSSE Excellence Fund
The POSSE Excellence Fund provides the necessary resources for our student-athletes to compete at the highest level, both in the classroom and in competition.
With the House vs. NCAA settlement approval, institutions are now allowed to share revenue directly with student-athletes. This added expense for schools in the top athletics conferences is capped at $20.5 million for 2025-26 and will increase annually.
The POSSE will utilize the Athletics Excellence Fund to support annual revenue share efforts along with our mission to provide all the tools necessary for OSU to compete for championships. While revenue sharing is the newest and largest need, the Athletics Excellence Fund also provides scholarships, academic support services, equipment, sports medicine, nutritional guidance, leadership development and much more.

What They're Saying
For many reasons, including the kind of person he is and the lasting relationships he builds with his players, Coach Morris is the perfect fit as the next leader of Cowboy Football. The future is bright for OSU Football and I look forward to introducing him and his family to our team, our former players and all Cowboy fans.
He gives you confidence to go out there and be yourself and play the game the way you're supposed to play. And he'll change the offense for that. It's not surprising to me that he's had so much success.
E-Mo knew everything. You're seeing how they call plays, how they pull a game plan together. He was very aware at an early age. You knew he was going to be a coach.
I think he's really good at identifying what a guy's strengths are and then being able to accentuate that while not getting away from who he is as a playcaller. They haven't missed a beat. If anything, he keeps getting better on offense.
